We’ve taken the stuffy 20th century board room with boring slide show presentations and turned it into an online 3D meeting space, where everyone in your group can contribute to the data being analyzed and share the space where it is presented.

When DatavizVR began just two years ago in co-founder and CEO Wallon Walusayi’s grandmother’s basement, they presented a solution to the business world: a new way to visually create 3D visualizations easily and effectively in a virtual reality space. The launch was successful, but came with a couple requests from users.
“DatavizVR was a great solution for data visualization,” notes Walusayi. “Our customers were thrilled with the ability to visually transform and see their data in new ways, but it was limited to the VR world and largely a single-user program. Users repeatedly stressed the need for two improvements: more ability for collaboration and easier communication.”
The new 3Data platform answers both requests and takes data analysis and presentation to a new level for businesses. Basic improvements to the program include direct database integration and a bevy of creator features that go beyond the traditional charts and graphs. The two biggest improvements allow multiple users to contribute to and create a visual story from the data in hand, and for that presentation to be shared with anyone, anywhere.
Co-founder and COO Tyler Cummings explains: “Our customers had a need for the software to be used by a team, not just a single person. In 3Data, multiple people in a group can share and contribute to the data being visualized and presented. Team members can work together; supervisors and CEO’s can contribute and/or leave notes; clients can make changes and give their input – all in the same 3D space, and in real time.”
3Data makes sharing and presenting that data incredibly easy by freeing itself of the financial and physical limitations of virtual reality. The new program is cloud-based and accessible through any device connected to the internet. “While the highest-quality experience is still found through VR, we have omitted the need for a CEO to don a cumbersome headset in order to see the data being shared,” says Cummings. “The presentations you make can be accessed through just about any device, while the actual data remains safe and secure on premises.”
Walusayi concludes: “Our goal has always been to help businesses understand and present their data in a very simple and effective way. People are tired of the endless spreadsheets, graphs, and PowerPoints. With 3Data, we have taken the incredible power of the VR space and made it accessible to everyone involved in a project. We’ve taken the stuffy 20th century board room with boring slide show presentations and turned it into an online 3D meeting space, where everyone in your group can contribute to the data being analyzed and share the space where it is presented.”

About 3Data: DatavizVR was launched in December 2016 by co-founders Tyler Cummings and Wallon Walusayi, six months after starting their company in a Milwaukee, Wisconsin basement. In July 2017, the company relocated to Austin, Texas. The company has been designated a Microsoft for Startups company, and in February 2018 they were accepted to BoostVC's latest accelerator program Tribe 11.
3Data’s core mission is to help people transform data into stories everyone can understand. With massive amounts of data being generated in the world today, the Who, What, When, Where, and Why behind the data can become lost in translation. 3Data’s goal is to help people democratize information by providing them the tools to gain insight, build better presentations, and effectively communicate what really matters. Let 3Data help you be the storyteller and tell the story your data is telling you.
